About Lake Spokane
Lake Spokane offers visitors a wide variety of
recreational, historic and scenic opportunities. Fishing,
hiking, hunting, watersports and sight-seeing are just a few of
the many activities that are popular along this portion of the
Spokane River. Lake Spokane is also known as "Long Lake"– the
name given the reservoir formed behind Long Lake Dam on the
Spokane River and is home to
Riverside State Park.
This area is rich in history,
wildlife and culture, with the mountains and lakes close by but
only a quick drive to the Spokane, the second largest city in
Washington State.
A short 30 minute drive into
Spokane leads you to
Riverfront Park, an urban, 100 acre park that offers
something for everyone - playground, carnival rides, biking
trails, walking paths, as well as being host to numerous
community
events throughout the year.
